Extended to those who have honorably served USC for at least a decade, the Gold Card (and its associated privileges) is available to retirees who completed at least 10 years of benefits-eligible employment at the university and who are 55 years or older upon completion of USC employment.
A directory of retiree privileges, including Gold Card privileges, may be accessed on the USC Emeriti Center website. Many retiree privileges also are available to your non-USC-employed spouse/domestic partner. You may request a separate card in your spouse/partner’s name.
If you wish to obtain your Gold Card – or if you wish to access Gold Card privileges like keeping your USC email – please complete the USC Gold Card application and scan/email it to uschr@usc.edu. If you prefer to send it via postal mail, the address is on the form. You can also use this form to request replacement Gold Cards if yours is lost. Please be sure you fill out the form completely – we need your accurate home address because that is where we will mail your card.
The fine print
Gold Card privileges are immediately discontinued should you return to benefits-eligible USC employment.
The USC Gold Card is not transferable and may be revoked for violation of university policy. The university does not guarantee the privileges as lifetime benefits; the university may change the program at its discretion without prior notice or liability for such changes.
For additional questions about the Gold Card program, please call the Emeriti Center at (213) 740-8921.
