FAQ on the 2025 Tuition Assistance Benefit program updates

As of April 15, 2025, the updated TAB plan is in effect. Below are frequently asked questions to support faculty, staff, and their dependents (including children and spouses/registered domestic partners) in understanding how the TAB program changes may affect them.

For purposes of TAB eligibility, “enrollment” assumes class attendance during the enrollment period. If you or your dependent were enrolled in and attending classes using TAB before April 15, your TAB eligibility will remain unchanged through the completion of your program. For individuals enrolling in classes beginning Summer 2025 or later, the new TAB plan terms will apply. Being admitted to the university or registering for courses does not count as enrollment.

NOTE: In the event of any inconsistency, conflict, or discrepancy between the Plan Document and the FAQ, the terms and conditions set forth in the Plan Document shall prevail and take precedence. If further clarification is needed, our HR Service Center associates are available to assist you.
