Whatever you look forward to doing after retirement, planning ahead will make it more likely that you will have the resources you need to spend your time as you choose. Your university retirement program is an important part of that planning. 

USC Retirement and Savings Plans

The university offers the following plans. Check Workday for your current plan eligibility. If you are on a plan not listed below (i.e., a plan previously offered by USC) and require assistance, contact the HR Service Center at uschr@usc.edu or 213-821-8100

USC Retirement Savings Program

A program for eligible faculty and staff, age 21 or older, which combines a 403(b) plan with a 401(a) plan.

Supplemental contributions

An additional retirement account to enhance your retirement savings with flexible, fully vested supplemental contributions—pre-tax or Roth—up to IRS limits.

457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan

An additional retirement account for faculty or staff with eligible earnings.

Keck Medicine of USC 401(k) Retirement Plan

A plan for eligible Keck Medicine of USC staff (generally employees of USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, USC Las Vegas Culinary Health Center, and Keck Community Medical Group Clinic).
