Constance Jennings Rodgers’ humane, tireless, unassuming and enduring commitment to the spirit of the Trojan family and a lifetime career of service to the School of Policy, Planning, and Development and the university have earned her a reputation as “the one with the delicate touch.” In over four decades of service to USC and to the school, she has provided the continuity and institutional memory that has been the backbone of the institution during inevitable changes and transitions.

Ms. Rodgers is the welcoming, caring, and responsive public face of the school and the university to countless leaders in the community, advisory board members, and faculty colleagues from across the nation. Over many years, her only agenda has been the relentless pursuit of excellent service in support of a well-run teaching and learning environment. A pillar of the Trojan family, Ms. Rodgers epitomizes the committed service that is a distinguishing feature and value at the University of Southern California.

Always the first to lend a helping hand, Ms. Rodgers has won a place of admiration and indeed adoration among students, faculty, staff, alumni, board members, and donors alike. She possesses a wonderful gift for combining kindness with efficiency, making sure that things get done while valuing the contributions of the people involved in doing them.
