As we learn to navigate another surge of COVID-19, Lyra Health – one of USC’s partners providing mental and emotional health support – is providing several COVID-19-related resources that faculty and staff may find helpful.
These resources – available to all employees – are:
- Meeting uncertainty with resilience during omicron – a webpage offering practical strategies to build resilience as you navigate the latest COVID-19 surge.
- Prioritizing mental health during COVID-19: best practices for self-care – a recorded workshop designed to help you understand the mental health effects of COVID-19 associated with increased worry and uncertainty. Strategies are also provided for practicing self-care and improving the management of distressing thoughts and emotions.
- Parenting in the real world workshop – a recorded workshop offering practical guidance on refocusing your attention and efforts on promoting positive interactions within your family, and for setting more realistic expectations for yourself and your kids.
Additional mental health care supports are available to faculty and staff enrolled in USC PPO, USC Trojan Care EPO and USC EPO Plus medical plans. For more information, refer to the Other health and wellness programs page on the Employee Gateway and the Lyra Health factsheet.
