USC Staff Assembly is an officially recognized branch of the university governance system that promotes the growth and welfare of all USC staff members. Assembly members are elected by university staff and represent more than 12,500 benefits-eligible, non-union staff.
New this year
Staff Assembly is moving to a bicameral structure, encompassing a Senate and a House of Representatives. This year, all benefits-eligible, non-union staff are invited to vote in one of 30 micro-elections to select an area representative (Senator) who will serve a two-year term, beginning July 1.
If you are eligible and interested in serving as the representative for your area’s Staff Assembly Senate seat, we encourage you to engage with colleagues and campaign for votes. A list of the 30 Senate seats and the school/unit allocation is available here.
Casting your vote
Staff will receive an email from Campus Groups (e.g., mailer@campusgroups.com) and can access the ballot through the EngageSC platform. Log in using your USC NetID to view a list of eligible candidates and cast your vote no later than 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31.
Results procedure and confirmation
Candidates receiving the most votes will be contacted beginning June 1 to affirm their willingness to serve. The new 2023-2025 senate will be confirmed prior to the last Staff Assembly meeting of the fiscal year.
