  • Vetster is offering free telehealth appointments to pets affected by the fire — for up to 500 pets through Jan. 23

Temporary housing options

  • 211 LA is partnering with Airbnb to offer free temporary shelter for people displaced from their homes by fire. Start by filling out this Emergency Airbnb.org Support Form.
  • Big Bear has offered this list of vacation homes and hotels which has been created specifically for the needs of fire evacuees. 
  • Planet Fitness locations in L.A. County are offering anyone affected by the fires, including first responders, free access to their facilities, including showers, massage chairs, locker rooms, and WiFi. Contact the club near you for more information and hours: https://www.planetfitness.com/.
  • Red Cross Los Angeles may be able to help with finding a shelter here.
  • Visit Anaheim has a list of special hotel offers and assistance for people affected by the wildfires. Visit Visit Anaheim’s official website
  • YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles is opening its locations that aren’t affected by the fires for temporary shelter, showers, basic amenities, and mental health support. They have also teamed up with L.A. Unified School District to provide childcare services for essential workers and affected families until schools reopen. Register on the YMCA Community Response website.
  • The local hotel association is maintaining this list of hotels in and around L.A. with available space, including whether and what kind of discounts they’re offering to fire victims and evacuees

Food and transportation

  • The L.A. Times is maintaining this list of L.A. restaurants offering shelter, discounts, and food to fire evacuees and first responders. 
  • Metro: Metro fares are free all day today.
  • Uber and Lyft are offering free rides to shelters and evacuation sites:
    • Uber: Two free rides up to $40 each. Use code: WILDFIRE25.
    • Lyft: Two free rides up to $25 each. Use code: CAFIRERELIEF25.

Medical and mental health

  • Anthem Blue Cross is offering free access to its online health option, LiveHealth Online, to anyone living in the impacted area. LiveHealth Online offers video visits with U.S.-based board-certified doctors on a mobile device or computer from anywhere for non-emergency health conditions. The free visit offer will be available through the end of the state of emergency.
  • The LA Homeless Services Authority has a list of many other resources, including food, medical care, and where to donate if able.
  • Keck Care of Caregiver: If you are a Keck Medicine of USC employee and have been impacted by the wildfires, there is a dedicated hotline (323) 865-9897, email CareForTheCaregiver@med.usc.edu, and website KM-CareforCaregiver website.
  • For all USC faculty and staff, the USC WorkWell Center staff is available for emotional support for faculty and staff at (213) 821-0800 or email at workwell@usc.edu. 

Loans

  • The U.S. Small Business Administration has opened the application process for disaster loans. Loans are open to homeowners and renters. Find out more and apply at www.sba.gov/disaster.
