Wildfire recovery vacation hours set to expire June 30

As shared in a January message on LA wildfire relief, employees who lost their primary residence or had it deemed uninhabitable due to the wildfires were provided a temporary bank of up to 40 hours of time off to support their recovery efforts.

Eligible employees who received these 40 hours have until June 30, 2025, to use them, so that they can work with cities, insurance companies, or contractors without having to use their accrued vacation time. Please be aware that after June 30, 2025, any unused hours from this time bank will expire.

For additional time off after June 30 to support you with wildfire relief, employees may also be eligible for the Major Disaster Leave Sharing Plan, which offers donated vacation hours to employees impacted by the wildfires.
