This year’s Open Enrollment period runs from Monday, Oct. 27, through Monday, Nov. 10, and is your only two weeks each year (aside from a qualifying life event) to review your current health plan and voluntary benefits coverage and use Workday to make your elections for the following calendar year. Your selections during this enrollment period are for your health plan and benefits effective Jan. 1-Dec. 31, 2026.
Steps to prepare for Open Enrollment
- Get ready: Log in to the 2026 Open Enrollment website using your USC NetID to review your benefits options, find plan-specific information, learn about voluntary offerings to add further protection for you and/or your family, and get answers to frequently asked questions. Visit the Updates for 2026 section to learn about what’s new.
For faculty and staff at University Park and Health Sciences Campuses: Given the recently announced updates to USC Health Plans, be sure to review and access resources including Walkthrough Sessions, FAQ, and the Personify Health (formerly HealthComp) customer service center at 855-727-5267.
- Get set: Use the tools, webinars, and support offerings to determine what benefits will be best for you and your dependents. Then stay tuned to the weekly Gateway Connect newsletter, your USC email, and Workday for reminders when it’s time to enroll.
- Enroll: On Oct. 27, you will receive a notification in Workday informing you to review and complete your benefits enrollment. You will have until 11:59 p.m. PT on Nov. 10 to submit your 2026 benefits elections in Workday. Until this time, you can revisit your elections and make changes.
As in past years, this Open Enrollment period is for health plans and voluntary benefits. Retirement contributions can be updated at any time throughout the year. Note that there will be a Retirement Contribution Event in Workday in December, and you will receive information and instructions in the Gateway Connect newsletter and Workday in November.
