Biennial Harassment Prevention Training launch

As part of our university’s commitment to upholding a positive campus culture and as required by California law, USC has launched its biennial Harassment Prevention Training in TrojanLearn. The training is required for all faculty, staff, and student workers to take at the time of hire and every two years thereafter.

Recognizing that the end of an academic semester may be busier at different times for each of you, this year’s training has been extended beyond the usual 60 days and has been streamlined to deliver the same integrity and depth of content as the previous version. Faculty, staff, and student workers can find the training by logging into TrojanLearn and visiting their My Transcript page. The course is due to be completed by Feb. 1, 2026.

USC’s Harassment Prevention Training is designed to educate the community on USC’s Policy on Prohibited Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation, including what constitutes prohibited conduct, how to identify and report it, and how to effectively intervene as a bystander. It also outlines the responsibilities of “Designated Employees.”

Given these topics can be challenging to think about and may feel especially sensitive and personal to some, USC has robust resources in place to support the Trojan community.

Additionally, community members who believe they may have difficulty completing the training may contact the Office of Civil Rights Compliance or OCRC (formerly the Office for Equity, Equal Opportunity, and Title IX or EEO-TIX) at ocrc@usc.edu or 213-740-5086 for guidance to discuss how to proceed.
