Workday introduces homepage, navigation menu, and worker profile updates

Workday system updates

As part of its fall feature release on Sept. 19, Workday has introduced updates to its homepage, navigation menu, and worker profile. The updates include refreshed visual elements and preconfigured menu categories designed to create a more consistent experience and make navigating Workday easier.

Homepage and navigation menu updates

Workday’s redesigned homepage and enhanced navigation menu provide a more consistent way to find and access information. Preconfigured menu categories organize commonly used features and help faculty and staff move through Workday more easily.

Worker profile updates

Workday has also updated the worker profile experience designed to improve accessibility and make it easier to view, navigate, and manage your information.

The updated profile includes several new features:

  • Profile header: Find your location and contact information at the top of your profile.
  • Collapsible side menu:
Use the new navigation menu to move through your profile and control which sections are displayed.
  • Private tab: View personal information that only you can access, including your most recent pay information and absence balances.
  • Public tab: See how your profile appears to others at USC. The information visible to each person will depend on their security permissions.

Screen-sharing notice

Your new user profile may display sensitive information when you view it. If you share your screen during meetings or presentations, check what’s visible before displaying your Workday profile.

Although take-home pay is masked by default, your gross pay remains visible.

Visit the Workday Help website (single sign-on with @usc.edu email address required to access) for a quick demonstration and video tutorial of the updated worker profile experience and its features.
