Thursday, May 18 is the twelfth Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), a day aimed at raising awareness of the importance of digital accessibility.
According to the USC Office of Institutional Accessibility (OIA), making a digital resource accessible means that: “a person with a disability can acquire information, engage in interactions, and enjoy services in an equal and integrated matter.”
Digital accessibility is also part of USC’s commitment to creating an inclusive culture.
Join us in recognizing GAAD by learning how to ensure any documents, webpages, or other digital materials that you create are easy to navigate, have clear and readable text, and have features that are inclusive and usable by all.
To support you, the OIA is having a virtual chat and Q&A with Morgan Baker, Game Accessibility, Program Lead for Electronic Arts on Thursday, May 18 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. To join the webinar, access tips toward creating accessible content, and download Zoom backgrounds to help raise awareness, visit the USC OIA GAAD 2023 webpage.
