This year’s Staff Assembly election process is currently underway and will continue through Monday, May 6. The election of Staff Assembly members is a two-part process.
Part I – Nomination period
From now through Monday, April 15, at 5 p.m., staff can submit nominations to fill 30 open seats for the 2024-2026 Staff Assembly. To be eligible to participate in Staff Assembly, candidates must be benefits-eligible, non-union staff members.
Beginning on April 16, the Rules and Elections Committee will begin to contact those receiving the most nominations to confirm their willingness to serve. All who are nominated must confirm no later than April 24, after which the final ballot will be created.
To get started, refer to the Friday, April 5 email from EngageSC (mailer@campusgroups.com) providing you with a link to the nomination survey. If you didn’t receive this email, please email staffassembly@usc.edu.
Part II – Voting for candidates
Voting will take place between April 26–May 6 at 5 p.m. Between May 7-17, staff members receiving the most votes will be contacted to reaffirm their willingness to serve. The new 2024-2026 Staff Assembly Representatives will be confirmed and notified in time for them to attend the last two General Assembly meetings of the year, scheduled for Friday, May 31, and Friday, June 28.
