CommUNITY Day Keynote Address: Engaging Change, featuring Dr. Omékongo Dibinga
September 17, 3pm-4pm (PST)
The USC Culture Journey has partnered with the School of Dramatic Arts for commUNITY Day and invited award-winning leadership, diversity & inclusion strategist Dr. Omékongo Dibinga as our keynote speaker. With introduction provided by Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Felicia Washington, Dr. Dibinga will explore how to practically engage in culture change both at the institutional level and as individuals, in order to create communities that are inclusive, welcoming, and make everyone feel like they belong.
Culture Conversations: Creating a Culture of Belonging
September 22, 3pm-4pm (PST)
Join us for an interactive Culture Conversation where we explore practical ways to live out our values. Patrick Auerbach, our Associate Senior Vice President for Alumni Relations, will be joined by an experienced panel of chairs and presidents from USC’s multicultural alumni associations to discuss the importance of belonging, and how we can create a culture that embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Panelists Include:
- Ismael Bautista (‘O3): Senior Counsel, SoCal Gas and Chair of the USC Latino Alumni Association
- Simeon Stewart II (‘92): CEO, Palazzo Concessions and Chair of the USC Black Alumni Association
- Adah Yeh (‘89): Retired VP, Head of HR, WB Television Group and Chair of the Asian Pacific Alumni Association
- Brandon Kyle (‘19): Executive Director of Alumni & Family Engagement and Annual Giving at Pitzer College, and Vice President, USC Lambda LGBT Alumni Association Board of Governors
