Make sure you can be reached in an emergency

TrojansAlert is USC’s emergency notification system, delivering critical safety information by text and email. If you’re not receiving TrojansAlert text messages, check that your information and designation was added correctly in Workday.

Your cell phone number must be listed in Workday with the phone type set to USC Emergency/Safety Alerts, in order for TrojansAlert text messages to reach you.

Below are the steps to ensure your cell phone number is added correctly in Workday:

  1. In Workday, click Personal Information in the Menu.
  2. Click Change Contact Information
  3. Click Change My Home Contact Information from the dropdown Edit button
  4. Under Phone, click Add to add a new phone number.
  5. Under Phone Type, select USC Emergency/Safety Alerts and enter your cell phone number.
  6. Click Submit.
