International ShakeOut Day is Thursday, Oct, 21. This annual day, each third Thursday of October, is when millions of people practice Drop, Cover, and Hold On, and do much more to improve their earthquake safety. Everyone, everywhere should know how to protect themselves during an earthquake, and you can take many steps to prepare to survive and recover too, through the Seven Steps to Earthquake Safety.
As Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drills are headquartered through the Southern California Earthquake Center (SCEC) at USC, we all lead this effort together and can keep spreading it all around the world.
