Faculty and staff get moving with WalkUSC

Are you ready to get your walk on?

On June 5 the WorkWell Center launched WalkUSC, a program designed to create a culture of movement and social connection. Over the summer, faculty and staff will come together from various departments to mingle, move, and explore their surroundings. To date, more than 350 participants have signed up to join 74 walk leaders on 34 walks across USC campuses.

During the first week, the walking groups were full of energy and excitement, as participants moved and connected with colleagues while improving their health.

Karin J. Saric, Information Services Librarian, Norris Medical Library, and Walk Leader, said of the launch, “The USC WorkWell Center put together the larger game plan for our community, and then all of us helped implement it. So happy to see this happening here!”

WalkUSC will continue as long as faculty and staff want to participate – and it’s not too late to join! Visit the WalkUSC webpage to learn more and sign up for future walks.
