This year’s Staff Assembly election process begins April 15 with nominations opening for the 2026–2028 term. A two-part process, here’s what to expect during Staff Assembly elections.
Part I – Nomination period (April 15–27)
On April 15, staff will receive an email from EngageSC with a unique link to nominate themselves or a colleague by the deadline of April 27. Elected representatives will help elevate staff perspectives and engage with university leadership. To be eligible to participate in Staff Assembly, candidates must be benefits-eligible, non-union staff members.
After nominations close, the Rules and Elections Committee will contact eligible nominees in early May to confirm whether they are interested in appearing on the ballot.
For questions or if you don’t receive the nomination email, please contact staffassembly@usc.edu.
Part II – Voting for candidates (May 11–26)
When the voting period begins on May 11, staff will receive another email from EngageSC, inviting them to vote from the list of confirmed candidates.
After all votes are tallied, candidates will be contacted. The Rules and Elections Committee will confirm the final list of Representatives for the 2026-2028 term in early June.
