Don’t be left out in the cold. After May 30, you won’t be able to use Zoom with the earlier version!
Download and install a free upgrade of Zoom – USC’s video conferencing, webinar and chat collaborative tool – no later than May 30. You’ll need to upgrade to Zoom 5.0 to continue to attend meetings, classes and events. Also, remember to upgrade all of your devices you use to work or teach: laptop and desktop computers, mobile phones and other devices.
Zoom 5.0 features the same offerings you see now, but with enhanced security measures that include stronger encryption – turning data into code to prevent unauthorized access – and many other safeguards.
It’s easy and free. Simply accept the automatic upgrade request from your Zoom software or go to the Zoom Download Center and follow the instructions.
To install this upgrade on Mac computers, you may need to log into the administrator account for your computer. If you encounter issues accessing the administrator account, please contact your local IT support for your school.
If you encounter issues downloading or installing Zoom 5.0 on any of your devices, please contact the ITS Customer Support Center at (213) 740-55555 or send an email to email@example.com. If you are using a USC-provided computer, you may need to contact local IT support for your school for help.
