Trojan Knowledge Expedition/Employee Communications take home international award

USC’s Trojan Knowledge Expedition program – and the publicity campaign around it – has been awarded top honors in an international Employee Communications award program. Ragan Communications’ annual Employee Communications awards tapped USC as this year’s winner in the Employee Experience/Employee Education category, beating out big corporate players like MasterCard.

Staff from USC Training and Development (David Davis, Saeyoung Chang) and USC Employee Engagement and Communications (Diane Schrader, Jandy Hardesty, Candace Stalder, Sonia Mentz) participated in the winning joint project. Special kudos to Candace Stalder, who created the whimsical retro-themed publicity campaign – watch the award-winning video below. Employee Engagement and Communications also won an honorable mention for their video called “Awilda Bregand fulfills a lifelong dream” – about how the executive director of Benefits Administration completed her degree using Tuition Assistance. This is the second consecutive year that one of the department’s videos has garnered an award.
