Special classical music programs from KUSC

Don’t stop the music, whether you’re working from home, coming in to work or off the clock. Classical KUSC, USC’s listener-supported service and largest classical music station in the country, is still broadcasting and streaming tunes around the clock. Here are two new ways to nurture your love for classical music during the current pandemic:

1. Weekdays at noon, enjoy your lunch and tune in to “Play On” – the program features California musicians at this time when the concert halls are dark.

2. Check out the “At Home with…” series, Tuesdays-Fridays at 6pm with host Brian Lauritzen. The program takes listeners inside the homes of classical stars to hear music and stories that bring us together while we’re apart – including L.A. Philharmonic Music Director Gustavo Dudamel, the first “At Home With…” guest.

For program schedules, visit the KUSC site.

And wait just one minute – who’s keeping the tracks running, anyway? During this stay at home period, all staff of USC Radio Group are working from home, which means KUSC/KDFC hosts broadcast from their closets and spare rooms to broadcast music to Southern and Northern California.

Listeners from across California and beyond share every day with KUSC how important it is to them to have a classical music oasis available during this stressful time. Enjoy your own mental break, or an inspiring soundtrack, by tuning in to KUSC/KDFC on the radio, streaming it online, downloading the apps or just asking your smart speaker to play KUSC or KDFC. See channel information on the KUSC site.
