Bookfest transportation updates

L.A. Times Festival of Books hits UPC this weekend and the primary mode of transportation encouraged for all visitors is public transportation! However, USC is providing a special circuit tram running during Festival hours (9am-6pm Saturday, 9am-5pm Sunday) between the Parking Center (now known as the Grand Avenue Structure) and a stop outside the Lab on Figueroa. Note that the bus will NOT enter campus due to anticipated crowds.

Also note that no other USC routes are in service this weekend, including Union Station and the weekend Intercampus shuttle.

Back to public transportation – in honor of Earth Day on Sunday 4/22, Metro rail and buses will offer free rides all day long – that’s on day 2 of the Festival of Books.

  1. If I decide to drive during the Festival of Books, what address shall I put on my navigation system?

    Thank you!

  2. Hi Lorena,
It depends on where you’re going to be parking; if you plan to park in the McCarthy Way Structure on campus (the structure off Figueroa Street), the street address is 620 USC McCarthy Way, Los Angeles, 90007. If you plan to park at the Grand Avenue Structure and use the shuttle to get over to campus, the street address is 3401 Grand Avenue, Los Angeles, 90007 (although the entrance is from the south side on West 35th Street). Please let us know if you need any additional information. -DD
