Child care, work/life balance, and wellness resources
USC employees enjoy the convenience of nearby, high quality child care through our two child care providers; at UPC, the university partners with K-Step Montessori, while at HSC our child care partner is Bright Horizons. These accredited child care programs serve children from 6 weeks to 5 years.
Center for Work and Family Life – offering free and confidential counseling and a host of other health-enhancing services
Low-cost psychotherapy – The USC Psychology Services Center is a teaching clinic located at UPC offering science-based, low-cost psychotherapy. They treat individual adults, couples, families, and children, and also offer group therapy on a variety of topics (e.g., social anxiety, mindfulness)
Be Well USC – USC’s comprehensive wellness site, encouraging work/life balance and health across the spectrum
Ergonomics – Ergonomics is a science that can generally be thought of as fitting your job to you, rather then you accommodating to fit the job. The goals of USC’s Ergonomics Program are to prevent injuries, improve comfort, facilitate return to work after an injury, provide reasonable accommodation for employees with disabilities, and increase overall productivity
RecSports – a goldmine of resources to keep you healthy, including walking maps of campus, fitness classes, and on-campus gym memberships
Smoking cessation resources – help is available from a wide variety of sources
Trojan Farmers Market – fresh produce brought to UPC and HSC weekly during the school year

Discounts not only to campus-based events but many of the big local theme parks as well
USC’s Neighborhood Homeownership Program encourages benefits-eligible employees to purchase and occupy homes in the neighborhoods surrounding UPC and HSC – and will pay up to $50,000 toward a home. See the program website for maps of the qualifying areas and further information.
USC’s Surplus Sales is not open to the public, but employees can pick up a bargain on used equipment or furniture, for either business or personal use
Public service loan forgiveness
